Inside Man Movie
Inside Man is a new film directed by Spike Lee written by Russell Gewirtz and produced by Brian Grazer starring Denzel Washington,CliveOwen and Jodie Foster released on March 24, 2006.
The movie concerns detective Keith Frazier, played by Denzel Washington, who gets involved with a bank robber Dalton Russell, played by Clive Owen, in a dramatic hostage situation.Jodie foster plays as a power broker complicating the scene.
The bank robbers succeed to enter the bank disguising themselfs as painters and using infrared waves they stop the security cameras they take hostages removing all their ways to comunicate and forcing them to wear the same clothes as the robbers in order to trick the police in a possible raid. When the robbers request food for the hostages the police puts microphones in the pizza boxes they send but Russel plays a speech from his iPod fooling them, then he asks for a plane but the police does not want to fulfill his wish.
Madaline White must try to protect Case interests in the bank robbery, a specific safety box he wishes to remain secret, and she uses her connections to enter the scene and contacts Russel.Russel agrees to talk to her and when she enters the bank he reveals a document from Case's box showing that Case had worked with the Nazis during World War II in order to obtain money and power.
The police asks Russel for an extended deadline for the plane but they actually don't intend to give him one.Later they tell him that the plane is ready and he should free the hostages and Russel allows Frazier to enter the bank and see that the hostages are safe.Frazier enters the bank, he sees the hostages but on his way out he tries to take Russel's gun but he fails because another robber stops him.Russel throws him out but Frazier asks him for his true intentions, telling him that he never wanted a plane.Russel shuts the door replying "too damn smart to be a cop" and then he tells the cop to point the cameras to a certain area where they execute a hostage and the SWAT team goes into action knocking everyone down with rubber bulles because they cannot tell who is the robber.
Frazier speaks with a cop who uses racist slang and in the and he advices him to watch what he says because you never know who is listening then he realizes that Russel was listening them and finds the transmitter. He tells the police that the robbers know all about their plans.
The robbers bomb the bank door and the hostages run making the police shoot at them as they cannot tell who is a robber and who is a hostage. When they search the bank they realize that no money were missing and the execution was fake however Frazier doesn't want to drop the case and finds a safe deposit that never appeared in the bank records.White tells Frazier about Cases dealing with the Nazis and then she confronts Case who tells everything to her.
At the end of the movie it is revealed that Russel hid himself behind a fake wall and as he gets out of the building he bumps into Frazier and they both excuse themselves, because Frazier only heard his voice he does not recognize him.
When Frazier opens the safety box he finds a diamond ring and the message folow the ring witch means he has to propose his girlfriend because when he talked with Russel he told him he wanted to propose to his girlfriend but didn't have the means.
The movie is the first in the box office starring great actors and you don't want to miss it, it makes you guess until the last second keeping you in suspense.

I do not know where you received your information, but Scott Corwon had nothing to do with this movie... the screenplay was written by Russell with writing credit also given to Menno Meyjes.
Uhm you are incorrect about the note in the safe deposit box. "follow the ring" was instructing him to seek out the owner - the French Jewish family that Case gave up to the Nazis - to expose Case's betrayal. It was a Cartier ring. Cartier has records of all the purchasers of such unique rings. It was the ring that Russell put in detective Frazier's pocket that told him to propose to his girlfriend (because money is no excuse - especially when you have a huge diamond dropped in your pocket).
This was an exellent article - extremely helpful to me. I do concur with the one comment concerning Scott Corwon. I do not think that Corwon received a writing credit for this production. According to what I have read, he provided financing and may have had a hand in developing the property before Spike Lee committed to direct.
This was a very good and accurate article. Thank you.
I am so sick of Scott Corwon getting credit for films that make money! Corwon is a hired gun that develops stuff based on polls. Instead of praising how good this movie is, I can't help but wonder how much better it would have been without Corwon dictating twists and turns at the market's behest. Scott Corwon is everything wrong with Hollywood today. There are no great movies anyomore because of people like him who pander to the market.
Why are we even talking about Scott Corwon instead of focusing on the genius of Spike Lee, Denzel Washington and Clive Owen?
